Nearly every workout my coach subscribed had something identical to it or close enough in the library. I then either build it myself in TR or look for comparable workout in TR. My coach uses Training Peaks but as descriptions not built workouts.

So maybe the best thing is to do the free trial of each, and see which you tend to vibe more with.Д¬urrently using both. I also used TR for my prep for 70.3 and IM distance races, and it really served me well in each instance. I have used multiple TR training plans (including Olympic), and while I did 'finish' the Olympic plan, it is hard, and a few rides I had to drop the intensity about 5-10% (or just stop pedaling for a minute), but part of that was that I have a wheel-on trainer, and the tire kept slipping. Plus, the graphics on Zwift aren't that interesting or impressive to me, but as a videogamer I do 'get' the grinding aspects of Zwift and the allure of earning unlockables like bikes, wheels, kit, etc. Zwift is nice, and seeing others around is kinda cool, but ultimately I found the stuff happening onscreen distracting compared to my workout (or Netflix show du jour). I tend to prefer a more solitary, clinical approach to training, with Netflix on in the background, so Trainerroad suits me better. They are both good platforms, but it really comes down to personal preference. I have used Trainerroad for the past 5 seasons, and tried Zwift these past few months. TrainingPeaks + a 3rd party plan + Zwift is a killer combo albiet a little more expensive than just running TrainerRoad. Zwift has way fewer native plans and workouts than TR but Zwift is open architecture for workouts so if you're willing to go 3rd party, it actually has a much bigger and much more diverse workout and plan universe. Its as seamless as using the TR app to run a TR workout and if anything, I find the Zwift workout app to be better than the TR app. (It automatically shows up on my Garmin too if I want go outside). The day's scheduled workout automatically shows up in Zwift and runs in erg mode. I just left the TR fold recently and started a Fascat cycling plan. Granted,its an extra expenses but there are 100's if not a thousand plans for sale in the TrainingPeaks 'plan store' and most integrate seamlessly with Zwift.
